Chelsea Win FIFA Club World Cup

Chelsea have finally won the FIFA club world cup. They are now world champions. They achieved this feat after an extra time win against Brazilian South American Champions.

The game was always going to be a tough one for Chelsea against one of the best South American sides.

Chelsea were on top throughout the game. They had more possession but their problem was creating chances and taking them.

They finally got their reward in the 54th minute after a cross by Hudson- Odoi was headed in by Lukaku.

Palmeiras equalized in the 64th minute from a penalty after a hand ball in the Chelsea box.

However, deep in extra time, Chelsea went ahead after Havertz converted a penalty in the 117 mins to seal their first ever World cup win.

Chelsea , the European and SuperCup champions, are now World Champions.

Every electrical/ mechanical appliance you purchase has some kind of warranty that comes with it even if there is nothing spelled out in writing. If there is a written warranty, read it carefully, know what it says and take advantage of it.

The terms guarantee and warranty are used interchangeably to mean a promise relating to performance of the product.

2 types of warranty:

An implied warranty that is warranty of good quality
Written warranty.

The first assures that the product sold is of good quality and will serve the purpose. The second in addition to the first type , states what the supplier will do and will not do if the product breaks down.

The written warranty.

Treat the warranty just as how you would normally treat the appliance itself. Don’t just throw it away. It costs the manufacturer money to fulfill the warranty terms and part of that cost is already included in the price you purchased the product.

What information should be included in a warranty.

Who is the warrantor ?, is the name and address included?.
Who will repair the product?Is it the dealer or the manufacturer?
How long is the warranty in effect?
Does the warranty cover all of the product or part of it?
Who pays for parts , labor and shipping charges.
If the product is removed for repairs, will a substitute product be provided as replacement ?
On what grounds can the product be repaired or replaced by the manufacturer/ dealer.

Most warranties distinguish between defect and damage. A defect is the warrantor’s responsibility, and damage is the customer’s responsibility.

A defect is any fault that exists in the product when it was sold or develops within a specified time limit as long as the defect doesn’t stem from improper use.

Damage is the result of improper use of the appliance. For instance the damage of a blender by overloading or running it for more than the period specified at a time.

The Maximum amount of Gas Your Cylinder can Hold

As a standard rule, the weight of gas your cylinder can hold should not be greater than the weight of the empty cylinder.

For example, if your gas cylinder weighs 12.5 kg when empty, then when filled with gas it should weigh 25 kg maximum.

If you have a cylinder that weighs 5 kg when empty then when full it should weigh a total of 10kg.

If you try to fill your cylinder beyond the recommended capacity, you risk cylinder explosion 💥 which can result to destruction and fatalities.

Some Common Essential Cooking Methods.

There are many ways to cook. Here is just some come Methods of cooking you should be familiar with.

Boiling.

This is a process of putting water to boil then adding the food to be cooked. Another way is to put the food in water and bring everything to a boil. Dried grains such as beans , rice can be cooked this way. And also meat too.

Steaming.

A process whereby the steam from boiling water is used to cook the food. The food being cooked is usually suspended above the pot of boiling water

Stir frying.

A cooking method by which what is being cooked is continuously stirred using high heat. For instance, garri is cooked this way.

Roasting

A process of cooking uncovered food by using dry heat in a confined environment with good air circulation. When the food is done it will appear crops and brown.

Baking

The process of cooking food in an enclosed space with moderate to high heat in the presence of moisture. Examples of food cooked this way are bread, cake, meat pie and so on.

Deep frying

A process of submerging food to be cooked in a lot of hot oil. The pan used is a deep one. When cooked the result is crisp, moist or dry, light brown coloured food.

Pan frying.

A process of cooking food with just the right amount of oil and no water added. The pan used is a shallow one unlike the deep frying method

Cameroon Win Bronze in Afcon 2021

*Cameroon celebrate victory over Burkina Faso*

Cameroon survived Burkina Faso scare to win 3rd place in Afcon 2021. As at the 67th minute it was Burkina Faso’s match to win as they were leading by 3-0. But Cameroon came back in superb fashion, levelling up 3-3 within 20 minutes including scoring 2 goals within 5 minutes. The game went straight into penalties after regular time and Cameroon triumphed 5-3 to claim Bronze.

Burkina Faso had themselves to blame for the defensive and goalkeeping errors which led to those goals.

It was the same problem they had with Senegal when they lost 3-1.

For Cameroon it was a successful tournament even though they won’t lift the Afcon trophy this time around. Vincent Aboubakar is set to become the highest goal scorer 8 eight goals.
