The English premier league resumes this weekend with some mouth watering clashes. Chelsea open the floor as they travel to take on Newcastle united. Chelsea will have to be very careful and defend well .

Spurs also take on Manchester City. It will be a tough test for both teams. Mourinho’s men will want all 3 points to maintain their second position on the league table.

League leaders, Leicester City travel to Anfield to face Liverpool . Liverpool has a chance to regain top spot but it wont be easy their againt their giant killing opponent.

Champions league match day 3 has commenced, it will conclude on 4th November 2020. Here are the results of matches played on the 3rd of November;

In group A, Bayern Munich strengthened their position on top with an empathic win over Salzburg . One more win and Bayern will qualify for the next stage. Atletico moved to second position with 4 points after there 1-1 draw with Lokomotiv.

Real Madrid pushed themselves to second in group B after their hard fought 3-2 win over Inter. Shakhtar Donetsk suffered a surprise 0-6 loss at home to Monchengladbach. Monchengladbach now tops group B with 5 points.

Man City completed 3 wins out of 3 as they swept aside Olympiacos to sit at the top of group C with 9 points. Manchester City are one win away from second round qualification.

Liverpool had things too easy as the demolished Atalanta 0-5 at the Stadio di Bergamo. Liverpool sit at the top of group D with 9 points followed by Ajax and Atalanta with 4 points each.

We are already into round 7 of the english premier league.

In the early game today, Wolves beat Crystal Palace 2-0. This win moved them into 3rd place on the table with 13 points.

On Saturday, Burnley takes on Chelsea. On paper Chelsea is the better team but Burnley have always caused them problems. Manchester City play bottom of the table Sheffield United. Liverpool will become premier league leaders if they beat WestHam.

On Sunday Nov. 1st, Aston Villa will play Southampton in the early game. Southamton have been impressive so far in the league, they defeated Everton last time out and I’m backing them to beat Aston Villa.

Everton play Newcastle in the second game of the day. Everton have had a good start to the season, they are top of the league but they must beat Newcastle to remain top.

The match of the day; Manchester United Vs Arsenal. Chelsea were at Old Trafford last weekend and got a draw, can Arsenal win them?. Manchester United are going to this game on the back of a 5 -0 demolition of RB Leipzig last Wednesday in the champions league

Mourinho’s Tottenham need to be careful when they take on Brighton in the last Sunday game. 

On Monday, Fulham will take on West Brom. Fulham will have a chance to improve on their last outing against Crystal Palace. Leeds play Leicester City in the last game of the day. Both teams played away and won their matches last time out. It will be interesting to see how Leicester approaches this difficult game.

Aston Villa Vs Leeds

Aston villa takes on Leads in the Late Friday game. Aston Villa has been excellent so far with 4 wins out of 4 and I  see them maintaining that feat against Leeds United.

Manchester United Vs Chelsea

Manchester United have been impressive with wins over Newcastle and PSG. Chelsea will need to do something specially to take any point off them.

West Ham Vs Manchester City.

Manchester City travel to West Ham. Manchester City will need to work hard for the 3points. Recall that West Ham are coming on the back of a comeback 3-3 draw against Tottenham.

Liverpool Vs Sheffield United.

Liverpool have another chance to take all 3 points.

Southampton Vs Everton

League leaders Everton played well against Champions Liverpool last time out. Well this is another tough test for them.

Arsenal Vs Leicester City

Arsenal lost to Man. City last time out. Leicester City are always tough opponents, but Arsenal are playing at home.

Burnley Vs Tottenham

Tottenham lost a 3 goal lead with 12 minutes of the match remaining in the game with West Ham. They will have to be very careful against Burnley because Bunley can capitalise.

Real Madrid Vs Shakhtar Donetsk. (2-3)

Real Madrid were defeated at home 3-2 by Shakhtar Donetsk. At the end of the first half, the home side was already down 3-0. Real Madrid produced a much improved performance in the second with two quick goals in the 54th and 59th minute. Federico Valverde thought he had drawn the game level but the goal was ruled out by VAR for offside.Real Madrid start their champions league campaign bottom of group B.

Bayern Munich Vs Atletico. (4-0)

The German Champions easily dispatched Atletico Madrid in a spectacular match with 2 goals in each half. Atletico as usual came with the defensive game strategy but the Germans were too hot for them on the night. Bayern now move top of group A with 3 points and Atletico is bottom with 0 points. In an earlier group A match,  Red Bull played a 2-2 draw with Lokomotive Moscow

Manchester City Vs FC Porto.(3-1)

Manchester City beat hard fighting Porto to start their campaign on a winning note. Porto drew first blood through Diaz 14th minute strike, but Aguero quickly levelled 20 minutes after. In the second half, City took the initiative and exerted pressure on the visitors. Consequently, City won a free kick which Gundogan converted with a class of bend to give his side the lead on 65 minutes. Ferran made sure of the 3 points after scoring from a neat one two pass to make it 3-1 final score.

Ajax Vs Liverpool.  (0-1)

Liverpool managed to win at Amsterdam thanks to an own goal by Taglifico in the 35th minute of the first half. He sliced Sadio Mane’s cross into his own net. Liverpool now second in group D with 3 points but inferior goals difference to Atlanta.
