HOW TO CONNECT XBOX ONE CONTROLLER TO WINDOWS 10 PC

When it comes to game controller connectivity to windows-based PC, the Xbox controller ranks number 1.

X box one controllers can be connected to PC wirelessly using Bluetooth or with a compatible USB cable.

Not all Xbox one controller have Bluetooth connectivity.

An Xbox controller with Bluetooth has the area around the Xbox logo button on the controller smoothly integrated without any joints with the body of the controller.

Nevertheless, both types of controllers can be connected to PC using a compatible USB cable.

To connect wirelessly to PC make sure the Xbox one controller is Bluetooth enabled and fix the batteries.

Also make sure your PC is Bluetooth enabled and powered on.

Press and hold the Xbox button and the wireless connection button simultaneously for 3 secs. until the Xbox button begins to blink as shown.

Now on your PC go to, show Bluetooth devices and click on it.

If the Xbox one controller is not shown, click, add Bluetooth device.

It will show the  Xbox wireless controller

Click on it to connect.

There you are, the Xbox one controller is connected wirelessly to your PC and ready to play games.

This controller will also work with a USB cable

To connect with a USB cable,

Just connect the Xbox one controller to PC with a compatible USB cable and you are good to go.

If your Xbox one controller doesn’t connect, then your windows operating system may need to be updated. You can also download the Xbox driver from Microsoft.com.

It is best to have your PC connected to the internet while you connect your Xbox controllers for the first time so that the necessary drivers can be automatically downloaded while installing.

Title chasing Manchester United lose ground as they were held to a 3-3 draw against Everton. Arsenal continue their new losing streak with a 1-0 loss to Aston Villa. Chelsea with 2 wins from 3 games are now up to fifth on the standings. Spurs recover from their home game loss to Chelsea to win 2-0 against West Brom.

Frank Lampard has been Sacked

Frank Lampard

Frank Lampard has been sacked as Chelsea manager just after 18 months in charge. Lampard lead Chelsea to 4th position in the league and FA cup final last season.  He has also helped Chelsea easily qualify for the second round in pole position, in this season’s champions league.

Chelsea  started this season’s premier league campaign on a good note, hoping to fight for the title. Towards the end of 2020, they were top of the premier league. But things have turned sour as Chelsea have lost 5 out of their past 8 matches. They are presently 9th on the table.

Lampard’s sack was confirmed on Monday 25 January by the Chelsea management citing poor run of results.

Even Chelsea’s last 3-1 win over Luton in their lasted FA cup match couldn’t  save him

Lampard was appointed on a 3year contract in July 2019. He is disappointed not to have had the time to take the club forward.

However, Chelsea owner, Roman Abramovich said Lampard’s status as an important icon of the club remains intact despite his sacking.

Chelsea has appointed former PSG coach: Thomas Tuchel to take over from Lampard. He may be available  as early as Chelsea’s home game against Wolves on Wednesday

The US removes Reciprocity fees for Nigerians

The United States has since December 3 removed reciprocity fees for Nigerian Visa applicants.

It could be recalled that in 2019, The United States imposed the reciprocity fee for all approved non-immigrant visa applications by Nigerians.

This fee was charged in addition to visa application fees for applicants who are issued visas.

The US Embassy in Nigeria said the reciprocity fees were imposed on Nigeria because the cost of US citizen obtaining a Nigerian Visa was much more expensive than the cost of a Nigerian getting a US visa. The reciprocity fee was meant to eliminate the cost difference as required by US laws.
But since the Nigerian Government have removed the excess application and processing fees of US citizens seeking Nigerian visas, the US Government have therefor eliminated reciprocity fees for Nigerian citizens.

PlayStation 5 has Arrived

The PlayStation 5 (PS5)

The much anticipated playstation 5 has arrived. Out in stores since Nov. 12. It was said that all the PS5 consoles available on launch day were sold out. The PS5 takes over from the best selling PS4.

But will this next gen console be a success? Time will tell. The PS5 has been played; it possesses stunning 4k graphics and faster loading times. Sony says the console is compatible with 8k Tv, but the console presently caps at 4k. Looks like there will be a future 8k upgrade later on.

Difference between PS5 and PS4

The PlayStation 5 is superior when compared to the PS4. Presently the  only notable difference is the faster loading times and 4k graphics. PS4 runs at  a resolution of 1080p.The PS5 is said to be capable of producing games never before possible but game producers are still catching up to this reality. If you are not a fan of graphics and the patient type, then you can still stick to your PS4 for a year of two.

Difference between the PS5 and PS4 Pro

The PS5 is also much more powerful than the PS4 pro. It launches games about 10-20 seconds faster. Games have more visual clarity on the PS5 than the PS4 pro. But the PS4 pro also runs on 4k so if you are not looking closely, you might not notice the difference.

The PlayStation 5 will be supporting a lot of next generation games, some of which were released on Nov. 12. One of them is the PS5 exclusive game; Spider-Man: Miles Morales, which features ray tracing which gives the game more realistic lighting and shadow effects. PS5 Size and Noise

The PS5 is the Biggest home console ever made. It has a length of 15.4 inches, breadth of 10.24 inches and thickness of 4.09 inches. Very big indeed. I hope just has it was with the PS4, Sony will trim down the size and give us a PS5 slim as well. Compared to the PS4, the PS5 is a noisier Machine.

2020 United States Presidential Election.

The United States Presidential Election has come and gone. It is no longer news that the incumbent; Donald Trump has been defeated by Joe Biden. Trump is the first United States president to lose reelection since 1992. Voter turnout is the highest since the 1900s. Both candidates received over 70 million votes with Biden receiving over 79 million votes, the highest ever in favour of any presidential candidate. Biden’s Presidency will be confirmed when he and his vice; Kamala Harris are officially voted in by congress on January 6, 2021.

At the time of writing, vote counting is officially still on, but Biden has an insurmountable lead of 306 electoral votes to Trump’s 232. Biden is also leading Trump by almost 5million in popular votes. The election also had a record high number of votes casted early by mail due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

At the start of vote counting after the November 3 election, Trump took early lead. But as the large number of mail in ballots were being counted, Biden took the lead and maintained it till He surpassed the 270 electoral votes mark required to win the election.

Biden is already setting things in place as he prepares to take over at the WhiteHouse. President elect Joe Biden and Vice President elect Kamala Harris will be inaugurated on January  20, 2021.

Outgoing President, Donald Trump is yet to acknowledge Biden’s victory sighting vote counting irregularities. He has instigated lawsuits in some swing states challenging election results and demanding vote recount. Vote recounts have been done in some of these states confirming Biden’s victory.

The 2020 United States Presidential election has so far been adjudged free and fair.
