How to Make Suya

Suya is a popular Nigerian street food made with skewered meat, spices, and peppers. It is often served at parties and celebrations. This recipe will teach you how to make a delicious and flavorful Suya.

Ingredients:

  • 500g of beef or chicken, cut into cubes
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 scotch bonnet peppers, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon of ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon of ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
  • Vegetable oil

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, combine the beef or chicken, onion, scotch bonnet peppers, ground ginger, ground cumin, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Mix well to coat the meat with the spices.
  3. Thread the meat onto skewers.
  4. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
