Here are some tips on how to better use your Android keyboard

HIDE OR REVEAL KEYBOARD: 

The keyboard should turn on automatically when typing is needed or when you tap in the text box. To hide keyboard in any app, tap the Back button once.

TOGGLE CAPS LOCK:

 To type a capital letter, tap the shift key once. If you need to type all letters in uppercase, tap and hold the shift key or double click the shift key.

SELECT TEXT:

To select a single word or selection of text, just tap and hold or double tap around the text area. You can then drag the ends of the highlighted texts to increase or decrease selection. To place a cursor within a text, simply gentle tap the place within the text you want to put it.

CHANGE CAPITALIZATION:

If you need to change the capital of a text, just select it then press the shift key once. It will change the first letter of the word to capital, if you press the shift button again, the whole selected word or words will be in capital and another press of the shift key will change all the word/words to small letters.

USING EMOJI:

To use emoji just Press the emoji button to start.

NEXT WORD SUGGESTIONS:

As you type on your Android keyboard you will notice that some words appear above. These are suggested  words. To use these words in your message/note just tap it. It makes your typing faster.

VOICE TYPING

Tapping the microphone button in your Android keyboard to input text by speaking. Just Press the microphone button and after the prompt say what you want to type and what you have spoken will be typed.

YOUR DICTIONARY:

You can add your own words to your personal dictionary so that your device remembers them. Just go to settings- personal language & input – Google keyboard – text correction – personal dictionary ,then select the language of the dictionary you want to modify. Choose add then type in the word.
